Police Seek Public's Help In Solving August Robbery

Nearly $8,000 in cash stolen from vehicle outside First National Bank in Deer Park.

Suffolk County Police First Squad Detectives and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s help in the investigation of an incident that occurred in August in Deer Park.

According to police, an unknown person broke the driver’s side window of a black 2010 Jeep Wrangler that was parked in front of the First National Bank located at 60 East Industry Court in Deer Park. The incident took place on Monday, August 14, just before noon.

Police said the subject or subjects removed an envelope containing $7,820 in cash from the center console of the vehicle.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS, or text SCPD and your message to CRIMES. All calls will be kept confidential.Β
