Snowy Singing From May Moore Performers

Young performers from Deer Park’s May Moore Primary School entertained other students, staff and visiting parents during the Music Club’s annual holiday musical, a Dec. 5 performance of “Snow Way Out! A Vacation in Winter’s Wonderland,” directed by music teacher Catherine Lubrano.

The 2009 play, written by Sally K. Albrecht and Jay Althouse, tells the tale of Jack and Jackie Frost (played by Joshua Collado and Sofia Figueroa), the renovators of the Winter’s Wonderland resort built by Old Man Winter (teacher Jeremy Smith) and their staff, the 24 Frostbites. Amidst the snowy set constructed by teacher Eileen Cullinane, the singers offered a rendition of the title number as well as “Getting Ready,” “Old Man Winter” and “Please, Let It Snow!”
