"The Town of Babylon stands ready to assist the church in whatever way we can to help them during this difficult time," Schaffer said. "I want to commend the Copiague Fire Department under the leadership of Chief Frank Giarrusso, all of the volunteer members and members of the surrounding departments who responded under mutual aid for their quick response and fine work to bring this fire under control and limit the structures involved to the auditorium.
