Trio Robbed 2 Suffolk Gas Stations Less Than An Hour Apart: PD
The three men were charged on Saturday in connection to two robberies reported less than an hour apart, police said.
SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY β Three men were arrested on Saturday in connection to two gas station robberies in North Babylon and Lindenhurst that occurred less than an hour apart, according to Suffolk police.
Devonte Burgess, and Shaquawn Humphrey, both 27, of Wyandanch, entered the Shell Gas Station on 170 Bay Shore Road in North Babylon at 10:40 a.m., police said.
One of the two displayed a knife and demanded cigarettes and cash, police said. The employee complied with their demands. A third man, Fleeton Allen, 53, of Huntington Station, waited in a red Dodge minivan, police said.

Then at 11:30 a.m., Burgess and Humphrey entered the Sunoco gas station on 1000 Route 109 in North Lindenhurst, police said. One of the men displayed a knife and demanded cigarettes and cash, police said. The employee complied with their demands and they fled in the Dodge minivan that Allen was driving, police said.
A police notification was broadcasted and a unit on patrol in Wyandanch stopped the trio matching their description in a red minivan and they were arrested by 12 p.m.

The knife and proceeds of the robberies were recovered in the minivan.
All three were charged with two counts of first-degree robbery, police said.
They will be held overnight at the First Precinct and are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on December 26.
