WATCH: Billy Joel Closes Nassau Coliseum With Andrew Cuomo, Kevin James, Paul Simon

Billy Joel moved out of Nassau Coliseum Tuesday night with the help of a few of New York’s biggest names.

The Piano Man performed the swan song of the Nassau Coliseum on Tuesday night to a sold out crowd of fans young and old, all hoping to send the arena off with a bang.

Before Joel came on stage, he was introduced by Gov. Andrew Cuomo. While he was met with a few boos, the governor quickly rallied the thousands of concert goers behind the star of the evening.

“He is an international star, but he is a still a New Yorker, and a Long Island boy, and a Hicksville boy,” Cuomo said as the tough crowd warmed up. “When we needed Billy, he was always there...Hurricane Sandy, Billy was there for us.”

Joel opened the show with an appropriate hit, “Movin’ Out.”

Long Island-born comedian and actor Kevin James also appeared at the show and performed a comedy routine with Joel.

“I think I speak for everybody when I say, if anybody is closing out Nassau Coliseum, there is nobody better fitted than you,” James said before surprising the audience with a snippet of “Miami 2017.”

Legendary musician Paul Simon also joined the party and gave a stellar performance, despite admitting he was in enemy territory as a Rangers fan:

The pair brought the house down with “Late in the Evening.”
