2 Ditmas Park Restaurants On Michelin's Top Cheap Spot List
Purple Yam and Lea were both on Michelin's best affordable restaurant list.

DITMAS PARK, BROOKLYN — Cortelyou Road is a hot spot for tasty, cheap dinners, restaurant reviewers announced this week.
Two Ditmas Park restaurants on the street are among the best affordable eateries around, according to Michelin star reviewers. Specifically, Michelin's 2020 Bib Gourmand list includes Purple Yam and Lea.
Purple Yam is a Pan-Asian spot at 1314 Cortelyou Rd that offers traditional Filipino food and dishes like kimchi, chicken adobo, duck and pork belly.

Lea, at 1022 Cortelyou Rd., is an Italian restaurant that serves pizza from a wood-fire oven, as well as pasta, fish and hamburgers.
The Michelin list, released Monday, has 133 restaurants in New York City and Westchester on it, 34 of which are in Brooklyn. The Bibi Gourmand list features restaurants that have "affordable and remarkable dining experience[s]," or spots where you can eat a three-course meal for $40 or less.
