2 Teens At-Large After East Flatbush Shooting: NYPD

A 15-year-old was sent to the hospital Saturday after being shot in East Flatbush, police said.

EAST FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for two at-large teens following a Jan. 21 East Flatbush shooting that sent a third teen to the hospital.

The 15-year-old shooting victim was standing in front of 3103 Foster Ave. at 9:30 p.m. on that day when he was approached by the two suspects, each of which is between 18 and 20 years old, according to the NYPD.

The victim started to run away, an NYPD spokesman said, at which point the suspects pursued him. One pulled out a gun and fired six shots, striking the victim once in the buttocks, police said. The suspects then fled the scene. The victim was treated at Kings County Hospital and released, according to the NYPD.

This shooting took place in the NYPD's 67th Precinct, which patrols East Flatbush. No shootings in the precinct were recorded between the beginning of the year and Jan. 15, according to official NYPD statistics, compared to one shooting during the same period last year. A total of 94 major crimes were recorded in the precinct through Jan. 15, compared to 91 last year, an increase of just over 3 percent.
