$75K Minimum Salary Required For 'Affordable' Flatbush Apartments

All it takes to find an affordable Flatbush apartment is an annual income between $75,000 and $150,000.

FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN — A batch of new Flatbush apartments will hit the city's affordable housing lottery this week, but only those bringing in between $75,000 and $150,000 a year can apply, city records show.

Nine units at 894, 896 and 900 New York Ave. will become available Wednesday through NYC Housing Connect, but only to households bringing in 130 percent of the city's area median income, the listing shows.

Three one-bedroom apartments go for $2,199 a month and are available to a single person earning between $75,395 and $97,110 a year or households of up to three bringing in between $75,395 and $124,930, records show.

Six two-bedrooms go for $2,450 a month and are available only to households earning between $84,000 and $149,890 annually, according to the listing.

The three buildings stand between Church Avenue and Martense Street and are about four blocks from the Church Avenue 2 and 5 train station.
