'Affordable' Flatbush Homes Open To Those With $97K Income

All it takes to apply for these affordable Flatbush homes is a near-six figure income.

FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN — A $97,000-a-year salary doesn't disqualify you from the newest batch of Flatbush apartments to hit the city's affordable housing lottery.

Three apartments at 2809 Snyder Ave. will become available Tuesday through NYC Housing Connect, but only to people who earn 130 percent of the area median income, the listing shows.

A one-bedroom that costs $1,599 a month is available to a single person earning between $54,823 and $97,110 a year or households with an annual income between $54,823 and $124,930.

Two two-bedrooms cost $2,299 a month and $2,649 a month and are available to households with an annual income between $78,823 and $149,890.

Building amenities include an intercom system, a rooftop recreation space and a gym, according to the listing.

Apartments come with in-unit washer/dryers and centralized heat and air conditioning.
