Ditmas Park Among Nation's Best Neighborhoods To Call Home
The Brooklyn neighborhood ranked 11th in Money's list of the 100 most livable cities in the United States.

DITMAS PARK, BROOKLYN — Ditmas Park is the 11th best neighborhood to call home in the U.S., according to a new analysis from the magazine Money.
The central Brooklyn neighborhood known for treelined streets and sprawling homes with slanted roofs beat out every other New York City in the ranking of the country’s top 100 places to live released Monday.
Analysts looked at more than 160,000 data points, including cost of living, education, health and safety, and diversity, according to Money. Reporters also paid a visit to each of the top 1,796 locations before settling on the their top picks.

Median Home Price: $847,700
Average Commute: 51 minutes
Median Household Income: $65,029
Projected Job Growth: 2.5 percent

"Ornate Victorian homes with large front porches and yards give Ditmas Park a suburban feel and unique character, yet the area maintains a traditional New York vibe," wrote Money analyst Shaina Mishkin.
"And one of Brooklyn's biggest draws, the 526-acre Prospect Park, is just a five-minute subway ride away."
