Ditmas Park Teen Charged With Brooklyn Boy's Murder, Cops Say

DITMAS PARK, BROOKLYN — A Ditmas Park teen was charged Wednesday with fatally stabbing another boy in the neck and chest outside a Brooklyn pizzeria, police said.

David Lopez, 17, stands accused of fatally stabbing Rohan Burke, also 17, on the corner of East 17th Street and Avenue M Tuesday afternoon at about 4 p.m., said police.

Lopez's mother Barbara Galloza, 38, also faces criminal charges for grabbing her son's knife moments after the stabbing then refusing to tell police where she had hidden it, court records show.

Burke died at Maimonides Hospital hours after emergency responders found him bleeding on the ground, police said.

Lopez, of Rugby Road, turned himself into police Tuesday evening, the New York Post reported.
