Farm On Adderley Fire Temporarily Closes Ditmas Park Restaurant

A small fire erupted at the Farm on Adderley Sunday and the restaurant will be closed Monday as the restaurant deals with damages.

DITMAS PARK, BROOKLYN — A fire broke out in a popular Cortelyou Road restaurant, forcing it to close Monday as the staff worked to repair the damages.

An all-hands fire erupted at The Farm On Adderley on Cortelyou Road between Stratford and Westminster roads Sunday morning about 9 a.m., according to the FDNY.

Owners took to social media to alert Ditmas Park diners that the fire was quickly extinguished but that the Farm would close Monday because of the damage.

"Thank you for all the concern and love," owners wrote on Facebook. "And a huge thank you to the firefighters who responded so quickly."

Gary Jonas and Allison McDowell opened the eatery, a neighborhood favorite for more than a decade, in 2006 with Chef Tom Kearney curating the menu.
