Flatbush 'Affordable' Housing Comes With $150K Income Requirement
A new batch of "affordable" Flatbush apartments demand applicants earn between $67,000 and $150,000 to apply, city records show.

FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN — A new batch of "affordable" Flatbush apartments comes with salary requirements of up to $150,000 a year, city records show.
Seven newly constructed apartments at 2250 Clarendon Road hit the city's affordable housing lottery on Friday, but only New Yorkers earning between $69,000 and $150,000 are eligible to apply, the NYC Housing Connect listing shows.
The sole one-bedroom in the seven-story building near East 23rd Street costs $1,950 a month and is available only to those earning between $68,858 and $124,930 a year, records show.

Six two-bedrooms cost $2,200 per month and are only available to households with an annual income between $75,429 and $149,890, according to the listing.
Owner Chaim Wurzberger demolished a three-story house on the lot in 2018 to build the new apartment development, designed by Diego Aguilera Architects, city records show.

Building amenities include a roof deck, laundry room and parking. The Clarendon Road complex more than a half mile walk from the nearest Q train station at Cortelyou Road and the nearest 2 and 5 station at Beverly Road.
Those who meet the city's income requirements have until June 3 to apply on the NYC Housing Connect website.
