Flatbush Home To Be Torn Down For Apartment Complex, Records Show

Developers plan to demolish a century-old home on East 32nd Street and put an apartment building in its place, records show.

FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN — A century-old Flatbush home with a slanted roof and front porch will be torn down so developers can build a new apartment building, city records show.

Developers filed plans Wednesday to demolish the red-and-white house at 282 East 32nd St. and build a 50-foot-tall apartment complex, Department of Buildings records show.

The 14-unit apartment building going up between Cortelyou and Clarendon roads will include 14 bike parking space, a seven-car garage and a penhout on the top floor, records show.

The project is being developed by Solomon Schwimmer of Twin Group Associates and designed by Design Studio Associates, according to city records.

Developers bought the single-family home, which was built in 1910, for $1,075,000 in June, city records show.

Developers did not include an estimated completion date in their filings, according to New York Yimby.
