Free Concert Series Brings Gospel, Rhythm & Blues To Wingate Park

FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN — A free outdoor music festival is coming to Flatbush's Wingate Park next week, Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams announced.
The Wingate Concert Series will take over the park on Brooklyn Avenue and Rutland Road Tuesday, Wednesday, July 16, July 17 and July 18, according to the borough president.
Tuesday's concert kicks off with performances from R&B singer-song writers Monica, Queen Naija, and BJ the Chicago Kid.

On Wednesday, 90s artist Jeff Redd will host an R&B revue paying homage to Al B. Sure and Angie Stone with performances from Force MD’s and Horace Brown.

The following Tuesday's concert pays tribute to reggae stars Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, and Gregory Isaacs with performances from Baby Cham, Spragga Benz, and Third World and Noah Powa.
Avant, PJ Morton, and Raheem DeVaughn will be honored during Wednesday's concert and the final show on Thursday will be a night of gospel hosted by Eric Campbell of radio's "Get Up! With Erica Campell."
This tribute to gospel singer Bebe Winans will feature performances from William McDowell, Le’Andria Johnson, Jonathan McReynolds, Kierra Sheard, Travis Greene, and Anthony Brown.
Shows begin at 7 p.m. and the doors open at 6 p.m. Borough Hall partnered with Globe Star Media-N-Entertainment and Make Music New York to organize the event.
