Kings County Wines Hopes To Take Over Brooklyn Industries Spot
Owners of the Ditmas Park wine shop requested a liquor license for the former Brooklyn Industries space on Cortelyou Road, records show.

DITMAS PARK, BROOKLYN — Kings County Wines hopes to pack up its bottles and move down the block to Brooklyn Industries' former location, city records show.
Owners of the small wine shop at Cortelyou and Westminster roads have filed requests for a permit to sell alcohol in the vacant space three blocks east to the corner on Marlborough Road, city records show.
Kings County Wines owners Erika Lesser and Adam Robertson filed their pending request on May 7 for a liquor license at 1420 Cortelyou Road, which has stood vacant since Brooklyn Industries shuttered its doors in September, 2017, records show.

Lesser and Robertson bought their business — which was formerly named T.B. Ackerson Wine Merchants — from Jane Rennert in 2015, after attempts to secure a liquor license for 1414 Cortelyou Road failed, according to Bklyner.
Should Kings County Wines secure the license, they would close down the current location and move their boozy stock down the street, an employee said.
