Last Chance: Public Voting on Local Projects Ends Sunday

More computers for public schools? More floodlights for parks? A performing arts studio? The choice is yours.

Time is nearly up for you to call the shots on how $1 million of public money will be spent.

People in Ditmas Park's Fiske Terrace and Midwood Park areas have until Sunday to cast their vote for the current round of participatory budgeting.

The money could be spent on proposals as diverse as sidewalk "bump outs" to improve pedestrian safety on Linden Ave. at 51st and 52nd streets (total cost, $840,000) to adding air conditioning to classrooms at P.S. 198 (total cost, $72,000). View the full list of projects and price tags .

To vote you need to be over 18 years of age and live between Foster Avenue and Avenue H and E 17th Street and Ocean Avenue in the 45th District. You do not need to be a citizen or a registered voter, but you will need to provide proof of your address and age ().
