Massive Fire Erupts At East Flatbush Junkyard: FDNY
Firefighters were battling a blaze at an East Flatbush junkyard Thursday afternoon, FDNY officials said.

EAST FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN — A massive fire broke out at an East Flatbush junkyard Thursday afternoon, FDNY officials said.
Firefighters rushed to the blaze at the Jet Auto II junkyard at 5710 Preston Ct. just after 2:30 p.m., an FDNY spokesperson said. They were still battling the two-alarm fire around 4:15 p.m., the spokesperson said.

Video from the junkyard shows large plumes of black smoke rising from inside the yard, with flames peaking out over the buildings. A firetruck manned by several firefighters sat halfway into the yard as other firefighters stood on the roof nearby.
The spokesperson did not immediately have details about whether cars, the building or both were on fire. Nobody was hurt from the fire as of 4:15 p.m.
