New Flatbush Pub Opens Near Newkirk Plaza
Wattli, a new bar and eatery and lounge at 1505 Newkirk Ave., celebrated its grand opening on Sunday.

FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN -- A new pub, bar and lounge serving pineapple mules, meat boards and crispy shrimp heroes opened up near Newkirk Plaza last weekend.
Wattli Bar and Kitchen at 1505 Newkirk Ave. celebrated its grand opening Sunday night, owners announced on Facebook.
City records show the owners are Sally Li and Arbor Watt, who first applied for a liquor license in December 2017 and have been teasing the eatery's fare on Facebook since.

The menu features classic pub fare — think $15 double cheeseburgers and $8 chicken wings — as well as rice bowls with edamame, scallion pancakes and summer rolls, Yelp photos show.
Wattli has a full liquor license and serves up fruity cocktails, a Sixpoint pilsner and IPA on draft and a limited selection of wine and bottled and canned beer.

The restaurant has earned a lone review on Yelp by a patron who gave it five stars.
"Welcome addition the neighborhood," wrote BklynCraCra B. "This was a labor of love that we've waited quite a bit for."
"It's a relaxed vibe, family friendly with a good layout to maximize the space. I look forward to outdoor seating in the summer. Go take a look!"
