Rider Seriously Injured By Fall Onto Q Train Tracks: Officials
A person fell onto the Q train tracks at Cortelyou Road in Ditmas Park during rush hour Monday morning, officials said.

DITMAS PARK, BROOKLYN — A person was seriously injured by a fall onto the Q train tracks during Monday morning rush hour, officials said.
The subway rider fell onto the northbound tracks at the Cortelyou Road station near East 16th Street about 7:40 a.m., according to the FDNY and MTA.
Emergency responders rushed the person, whose gender was not disclosed, to Kings County Hospital in serious condition, according to the FDNY.

Northbound Q trains temporarily ran express from Kings Highway to Prospect Park so that the MTA could turn off the third-rail and allow medics to help the injured person.
Normal service resumed about 8 a.m., but the MTA warned riders to expect delays.
