Smorgasburg Brings Lobster Nachos And Shawarma Tacos To Brooklyn
Smorgasburg starts up again the weekend of March 31 - here's what you need to know.
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK — Your one-spot-stop for deep-fried cookie dough, cheese pies and lobster nachos — aka Smorgasburg — is back.
The park-friendly food markets will open in Williamsburg on Saturday, March 31, and in Prospect Park on Sunday, April 1, and feature 14 new vendors serving up baleadas, shawarma tacos and fried buffalo pockets.
Exactly 100 vendors will be taking over East River State Park in Williamsburg on March 31 and Breeze Hill in Prospect Park on April 1 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to the venue's website.

New Prospect Park vendors include Lobsterdamus — where ’borgers will find whole grilled lobsters served with noodles, lobster truffle fries and lobster nachos — and 504 HN Market, which will serve Honduran baleadas with refried beans, Honduran cheese and cream, and avocado.
New additions to the Williamsburg lineup include Boutros — where you’ll find pork shawarma tacos and bulgur fried rice — and Yoshimoto Fish Company, the place for donburi bowls.

Prospect Park and Williamsburg Vendors
504 HN Market: Honduran baleadas with flour tortillas, refried beans, Honduran cheese and cream, and avocado. Other options include eggs and chorizo.
Big Mozz x DO: Deep fried cookie dough.
Bonsai Kakigori: Japanese shaved ice with house-made syrups and toppings.
Btarts: Canadian butter tarts with organic butter, eggs and Canadian maple syrup.
Dashi Fried Chicken: Fried-to-order Korean Fried Chicken with house-made dipping sauces.
Frico Italia: Italian pan-fried pie made with potatoes and three Italian cheeses.
King St. Kitchen: Baked goods – including peanut butter and chocolate fudge brownies, golden oat cookies, and olive oil and citrus bundt cakes – from a former pastry chef at Eleven Madison Park.
Lobsterdamus: Mesquite grilled-whole lobsters, lobster truffle fries and lobster nachos.
PopdUp: Cold brew teas.
Ya Ya Noodz: Szechuan rice noodles steamed, rolled and filled with shrimp, pork, or butternut squash.
New Williamsburg Vendors:
Boutros: Pork shawarma tacos and bulgur fried rice.
Bread & Monkey: Banana bread and grilled french toast.
Himalayan Horizon: Shabaley, a Himalayan street food that features fried dough pockets stuffed with buffalo, beef, or potatoes, with ginger-scallion and tomato-fenugreek sauces.
Yoshimoto Fish Company: Donburi bowls with sushi rice, seasonal fish — such as fatty tuna, salmon, herring roe or sea urchin — that are definitely share-sized.
