BROOKLYN, NEW YORK — A Brooklyn bus passenger hurled racist slurs at fellow passengers and spat at the driver in video posted online.

The bigoted rant erupted on a B68 bus on Coney Island Avenue in Midwood about 8:20 p.m. Tuesday night, officials told the Daily News.

Video shows the man, sprawled across several seats reserved for elderly and differently abled passengers, sneering at someone who cannot be seen.

The bus driver orders him to get out and threatens to call police, video shows.

Finally, after a few minutes, the man rises to exit, slams his fist into the driver's protective barrier and sends a large wad of spit his way before storming off, the video shows.

"The MTA has referred this matter to the NYPD for full investigation," said MTA spokesperson Shams Tarek. "This is abhorrent, racist, and violent behavior, and any crimes committed should result in prosecution."

The video, posted to YouTube Wednesday, has been seen more than 6,000 times and spurred a slew of comments from viewers and Brooklynites.

"I will support and stand by the drivers of this route because they deal with this disrespect and racial taunts daily," wrote Love Jones. "MTA needs to do something before someone gets hurt."
