Woman Killed By 18-Wheeler Truck In Flatbush Hit-And-Run: NYPD

FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN — A woman was killed in a hit-and-run with a vehicle believed to be an 18-wheeler truck Tuesday morning in Flatbush, police said.

The woman, in her 40s, was crossing Flatbush Avenue on Nostrand Avenue in the crosswalk about 4:50 a.m., when a person driving a blue 18-wheeler flatbed truck northbound on Flatbush Avenue hit her, police said.

Emergency medical services pronounced the woman dead at the intersection, according to police.

Police said the driver left the intersection.
