3 World Trade Center Reaches Its Final Height
The building at 3 WTC will be topped off Thursday morning, though construction on the exterior will continue.
Revitalization at the World Trade Center hits a new mark on Thursday as 3 World Trade Center is set to be topped off, according to YIMBY.
The building will be at its final height of 1,079 feet — 80 stories — once topped off. The building was officially designated as "super tall" on May 20 when it reached 1,000 feet.
But don't get ready to make plans to visit just yet. While the building is finished growing up, it still has quite a bit of work to be done before it's scheduled to open in 2018. Much of the exterior glass still needs to go up, as well as interior work.

The building was designed by architect Richard Rogers.
Three World Trade Center joins 1 World Trade Center, 4 World Trade Center and 7 World Trade Center as officially having reach their final heights. Those three buildings, however, are already open to public.

Construction on 2 World Trade Center and 5 World Trade Center are currently on hold. Only 1 WTC and the scheduled 2 WTC are to be taller than 3 WTC.
