30-Story Hotel Could Rise On Liberty Street In Lower Manhattan
A developer is planning to tear down a five-story condo building to make way for a 30-story hotel.

FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — A five-story building on Liberty Street is set to be torn down and could be replaced with a 30-story hotel, permits show.
The building, at 112 Liberty St. between Trinity Place and Greenwich Street, appears to be prepared for demolition soon with scaffolding and black netting in place at the building, YIMBY New York reported Monday.
Demolition permits were filed more than a year ago, and new building permits for a 30-story hotel were filed earlier this year, Department of Buildings records show.

Eddie Hidary of Hidrock Properties is developing the 30-story hotel after the company scooped up the condo building for $38.5 million last year, The Real Deal reported. At the time, sources told The Real Deal the company was considering a new residential building.
