35th Annual Battery Dance Festival Returns To Robert F. Wagner Park
The long-running free dance festival boasts its most diverse set of performers ever.

BATTERY PARK CITY, NY — The week-long Battery Dance Festival will open its 35th edition this Sunday and will be sure to dazzle thousands of wide-eyed spectators and local residents.
Organized by Battery Dance in associated with the Battery Park City Authority, the festival began as the Downtown Dance Festival in 1982 and has grown into one of the premiere and can't miss free cultural events in New York City.
Dance companies and choreographers from around the country and around the globe will have a chance to showcase their artistry in front of breathtaking views of New York Harbor. At the conclusion of each night's performance, members of the audience young and old alike are invited up to the stage in an activity branded "Everybody Dance Now."

Free performances in Robert F. Wagner Park are scheduled for every night from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. from Aug. 14 to 20. A closing ceremony at Pace University's Schimmel Center requiring ticketed reservations is also scheduled.
