Police Arrest Man, Woman in Attack on 75-Year-Old Man in Village
An elderly man was attacked without warning on 14th Street in a vicious assault.
NEW YORK, NY — Police have made two arrests in the vicious unprovoked attack on an elderly man in the West Village on Wednesday afternoon, according to the NYPD.
The two suspects, seen in the video above, were arrested and charged Thursday evening, police said.
Deangelo Coleman, 20, of Chicago was charged with two counts of assault while Brianna Crusade, 19, who served as lookout, was charged with grand larceny.

The man, 75, was standing outside the Salvation Army on 120 West 14th St. at 2:12 p.m. when he was approached from behind and punched in the back of the head, police said. He fell to the ground and the suspect repeatedly kicked him in the face until he was rendered unconscious.

Police were hopeful the public would be able to identify the man, who had a distinctive red streak in his hair. He was seen in the video wearing a white T-shirt and beige pants, with a black backpack.

The woman was seen wearing a green dress and black sneakers.
