Gunmen Crash Party In Luxury FiDi Apartment: NYPD

Armed robbers busted into a Financial District apartment during a party, the NYPD said.

FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — A group of armed robbers broke up a party in a Financial District apartment, according to the NYPD.

Half a dozen men knocked on the door of a luxury apartment at 20 Broad St., forced their way in and hit the 20-year-old hosting a party in the head after midnight Sunday, police said.

The group went through the apartment robbing clothes and jewelry before fleeing 20 Broad St. towards Wall Street, police said.

Police said party-goers were inside an apartment being rented out by Sonder, which rents out luxury residences like hotel rooms similar to Airbnb, according to the New York Post.

A spokeswoman for the company told the Post, "we are cooperating fully with law enforcement and building management as they investigate an incident that occurred at one of our locations in New York."
