Colin Kaepernick Buys Multi-Million-Dollar Condo in TriBeCa

The San Francisco 49ers quarterback purchased a sleek condo at One York.

TRIBECA, NY — San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick reportedly bought a two-bedroom, 2.5-bath condo for $3.21 million in TriBeCa, multiple news outlets report. Kaepernick gained national notoriety for kneeling during the national anthem at the beginning of games to address racial corruption and shooting deaths of unarmed black people by police officers.

Kaepernick reportedly purchased the 1,733-square-foot condo at One York at 1 York St., which has only 32 units. He bought the condo back in July, but the transaction wasn't reported until this week when the Los Angeles Times noted that Kaepernick used the same trust to buy the TriBeCa condo as the one he used when he bought a home in the Bay Area.

The athlete-turned-activist put his 4,569-square-foot home in San Jose, Calif. on the market for $2.89 million last week.

Kaepernick's new condo is sleek and modern with solid wood doors and wide plank oak flooring throughout. The building also has a heated pool, a gym, a 24/7 concierge, a full-time doorman and a sundeck with an outdoor shower. Former New York ranger Derick Brassard bought a condo in the building in September 2015.

The listing is shared by Compass brokers James C. Cox Jr, Frank Giordano and Chad Maltby, Observer reports.
