ESPN Moves Into South Street Seaport Space

The sports network moved into the waterfront space for its new broadcasting studio.

SOUTH STREET SEAPORT, NY — ESPN broadcast its first show from its new Manhattan studio in the South Street Seaport neighborhood this week, bring the sports network to a massive new waterfront space.

ESPN Broadcasting Studios is the first occupant of commercial space at Pier 17 in South Street Seaport. ESPN will broadcast their new morning program "Get Up!" from South Street SeaportMike Greenberg, Michelle Beadle, and Jalen Rose.

The company is renting about 21,000 square feet of space at Pier 17. The building is one of a number of new structures and ongoing construction projects in the Seaport District, which is being developed primarily by the Howard Hughes Corporation. The Seaport District, and Pier 17, is located right on the water, offering views of the Brooklyn Bridge and the Statue of Liberty. Pier 17 will include a number of high-end restaurants and a 1.5-acre rooftop when it officially opens.

"Get Up!" airs 7-10 a.m. on weekdays.
