Financial District Fire Breaks Out In Hotel
The fire began in the basement of a Holiday Inn at 126 Water St., authorities said.
FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — Firefighters are battling a fire in the basement of a Financial District hotel on Monday afternoon, authorities said.
A fire broke out in the basement of the Holiday Inn at 126 Water St., an FDNY spokeswoman said. The fire was reported at about 12:15 p.m. The FDNY declared the blaze under control as of 12:50 p.m.
No injuries were immediately reported.

The blaze reportedly spent smoke billowing throughout the Lower Manhattan neighborhood.
