FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — A landmarked building with scaffolding on its facade caught fire Tuesday afternoon, an FDNY spokesman said.

A fire broke out at the Trinity Building, located at 111 Broadway at Thames Street, about 12 p.m. Tuesday on the seventh floor scaffolding of the building, the spokesman said.

The fire was under control by 12:39 p.m., the spokesman said. No injuries were reported, he said.

The Trinity Building was landmarked in 1988.

Late last year, a night-time light show from the landmark angered neighbors for blasting multi-colored lights into their nearby apartment, the Tribeca Tribune reported in December. One neighbor likened it to a "three-ring circus."
