UPDATE: Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton Will Both Attend Sept. 11 Remembrance at Ground Zero
Neither candidate for president will have a speaking role at the event, but both will attend on Sunday.

UPDATE Sept. 10, 3:30 p.m.: One day after it was reported Hillary Clinton would be attending Sunday's remembrance at Ground Zero, fellow candidate Donald Trump now will be as well.
Multiple reports indicate the GOP candidate, and New York City native, will attend the event at the Sept. 11 Memorial.
A spokesman for Trump had told the AP on Friday his Sunday schedule was still up in the air.

The pause from politicking on Sept. 11 isn't a new one. Back in 2008, candidates Barack Obama and John McCain both attended the Sept. 11 remembrance at Ground Zero.

FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will be attending Sunday's remembrance at the Sept. 11 Memorial, according to her staff.
The AP reports Clinton will arrive before the scheduled moment of silence at 8:46 a.m., the time when the first plane hit the World Trade Center, but is not expected to speak. Clinton informed the organizers of the event she would be attending Thursday evening. The remembrance will feature a reading of the names of those killed in the Sept. 11 attacks and speeches from family members of those who passed away.
Republican rival Donald Trump is not currently scheduled to attend.
Both candidates live in New York.
Clinton was a senator from New York when the terrorist attack occurred, serving in her first term. She played a role both in advocating for workers who were sickened at Ground Zero in the weeks following the attacks, and in securing $21 billion in funding for the World Trade Center site's redevelopment.
Trump donated $100,000 to the Sept. 11 Memorial and Museum, where Sunday's commemoration will take place.
