Historic Delmonico's In FiDi Partners With Indoor Golf Facility

FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — A Lower Manhattan steakhouse dating back to 1837 is teaming up with an indoor golf facility for a "power lunch" experience.

Delmonico's, among the city's oldest restaurants, is collaborating with Five Iron Golf in FiDi for a pre-fixe meal and nine holes of golf at the indoor, simulated golf course.

The 90-minute "Dine & Play Nine" experience starts at $65 for parties of 2 to 15 people and $75 for 16-35 people. The indoor golf facility and historic steakhouse launched the eat-and-golf experience earlier this month.

The restaurant and golf facility "are just steps from one another in FiDi — so teaming up as neighbors to offer a (fully air-conditioned) afternoon power lunch & indoor golf experience just seemed like a natural fit — especially in the summer months, when the weather can bring everything from soaring temperatures to flash downpours," said Carin Sarafian, Delmonico's events director who came up with the idea.

The "Dine & Play Nine" lunch is touted as perfect for business networking and entertaining clients — or for friends escaping the heat.

"The whole thing can be enjoyed in air conditioned comfort in less than 90 minutes, start to finish, and costs just $65 to $70 per person, depending on group size," Sarafian said.

Guests play nine holes of golf at the indoor simulated facility at 22 Stone St. and then eat a three-course pre-fixe lunch at Delmonico's, at 56 Beaver St. Dishes include salad, eggs Benedict, steak, carbonara, and more. Guests can also eat first then play golf.

The lunchtime outing is available Monday through Friday 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Evening hours or groups larger than 35 are available at a higher rate.

The $65-75 rate runs through September 9.
