L’Arte Del Gelato Opens 3 Summer Pop-Ups In Lower Manhattan
The Chelsea-based gelato shop has opened pop-ups in Tribeca, the Financial District and the East Village until October.

TRIBECA, NY — New Yorkers can beat the heat this summer with sweet treats from three new gelato pop-ups in Lower Manhattan.
Chelsea-based L’Arte del Gelato has expanded its artisanal gelato operation to three new neighborhoods at Tribeca's Whole Foods, the Oculus in the Financial District and at the Bowery Market on the outskirts of the East Village, according to a spokeswoman for the company.
The lily pink and white kiosks, hand painted in Italy, will hawk Sicilian-style gelato until October. The carts offer a 10-flavor selection including Tahitian vanilla, milk cream with chocolate chips and pistachio imported from Sicily.

Sicilian-native Francesco Realmuto founded L’Arte del Gelato in the early '70s as a rift off the classic Italian gelaterie. The gelato is made in the Italian tradition using ingredients imported from the country.
The Bowery Market pop-up is located at 348 Bowery, the Tribeca shop can be found inside the neighborhood's Whole Foods at 270 Greenwich Street and the Financial District shop is near the the Oculus at 185 Greenwich Street.
