Luxury iPic Movie Theater Set to Open in South Street Southport

FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — The doors of the long-awaited Fulton Market in South Street Seaport will open on Oct. 7 with its first tenant, the new iPic Theater. Among other new construction, the iPic Theater will contribute to the growing reputation of South Street Southport.

The remade Fulton Market is a key element of Howard Hughes Corporation's new South Street Seaport. The exterior of the building was approved by the Landmarks Preservation Commission in June, with construction still ongoing.

Once completed, iPic will house eight glitzy auditoriums containing 500 seats offering special amenities such as high-level comfort push reclining chairs, and "ninja-trained waitresses" who will silently deliver premium food and drink.

The dine-in-the-dark gourmet cuisine includes seasonally inspired flavors with a menu designed by Chef Sherry Yard. You'll be able to dine at one of the iPic restaurant concepts: The Tuck Room, City Perch Kitchen and bar, Tanzy Restaurant or Big Daddy's Brew. The location will also include a assortment of "classic candies" and "custom treats," according to the iPic website.
