Man Demands Sex, Busts Eye Socket In Attack On 73-Year-Old: Cops

FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — A man demanded sex from a 73-year-old woman and punched her in the face multiple times after midnight Sunday morning, cops said.

The woman was at 11 Greenwich St. north of Battery Place Sunday at 12:45 a.m. when the man walked up to her and demanded sex, according to the New York Police Department.

She refused, and the man punched her in the face multiple times causing her to lose teeth, police said. He snatched the woman's bag that had $20 and ran off, police said.

The woman was rushed to an area hospital in serious but stable condition with cuts, bruising and a broken eye socket, police said.

Cops are searching for the man for attempted rape.

Police said he is approximately 25- to 35-years-old, 6 feet tall with a slim build. Photos released by the police show him wearing a red track suit with gray and white Nike sneakers.
