WORLD TRADE CENTER, NY — The leaky skylight at the World Trade Center's Oculus will cost another $200,000 to fix, according to a report.
The Wall Street Journal reported the skylight will require another $200,000 to fix — in addition to another $50,000 previously spent by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to fix the leaky ceiling windows.
Construction is currently in the works as summer comes to a close and winter nears, the paper reported.

The skylight inside of Lower Manhattan's sweeping transit hub is supposed to open for ceremonies on September 11th to honor those who died during the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
But the Port Authority quietly announced in a Friday press release earlier this month that the skylight would remain closed during the 9/11 anniversary this year, after an apparent malfunction that caused a rip in the rubber seal along the roof in 2018.

The Port Authority told the Journal that while the agency conducts an engineering analysis, "we are taking prudent steps to better protect the skylight with a more durable barrier system."
