NYC Subway Delays: 4, 5, 6 Trains Halted In Lower Manhattan

The MTA said to expect delays on Tuesday afternoon along the 4, 5 and 6 lines in Lower Manhattan.

LOWER MANHATTAN, NY — Multiple subway lines in Lower Manhattan are experiencing delays on Tuesday afternoon after safety equipment was activated along the 4, 5 and 6 lines, the MTA said.

The agency said safety equipment was activated between Canal Street and Bowling Green on Tuesday at about 12:40 p.m. on Tuesday. It's unclear why the safety equipment was activated.

The MTA said that 4, 5 and 6 trains were stopped in the area as a precaution.
