NYC Subway Groper Touches Woman's Butt, Police Say

TRIBECA, NY — A subway groper repeatedly grabbed a woman's butt as the two rode a Brooklyn-bound A train through Tribeca, police said.

Authorities are still searching for the man, who they say was riding a crowded southbound A train on Jan. 6 at about 4:10 p.m. when the incident happened.

The man repeatedly grabbed a 19-year-old woman's bottom, police said. At the Chambers Street station in Tribeca, the woman moved to another train car, but told police the man rode the train through Brooklyn and got off at Nostrand Avenue, according to the NYPD.

Police released photos of the suspect on Friday and are working to identify him. He is believed to be between 25 and 30 years old.
