Olympic Ice Skating Duo Will Perform for Free in Lower Manhattan This Weekend
Olympic skaters Melissa Gregory and Denis Petukhov are partners both on and off the ice.
FIDI, NY — On Sunday, Dec. 16, world-renowned Olympic figure skaters Melissa Gregory and Denis Petukhov will perform at their newly opened skating facility: The Rink at Brookfield Place, located near the World Trade Center on the border of Tribeca and FiDi.
The show, titled "The Magic of Beauty," will feature the pair, who have been married since 2001 and originally met on an online skating partner website.
They have collectively won six U.S. National medals, International Event Championships and top World rankings. They represented the United States in the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy.
