TJX signed the lease for a 66,000-square-foot space at 140 West.
FIDI, NY — The Financial District is (most likely) getting a 66,000-square-foot Marshalls Store. The Post reports that the chainstore will inhabitant the large retail space at 140 West in the Verizon Building, which was once rumored to be a Bloomingdale's, and then either a Nike or Under Armour store.
TJX, the parent company of Marshalls and T.J. Maxx, recently signed the lease.
The Post reports the store will occupy a small portion of the first floor and the two lower levels. The property had an asking rent of $350 per square foot on the ground floor and $100 per square foot on the lower level. Verizon currently owns the lower ten floors.
