PHOTOS: A Look at the New Liberty Park by the World Trade Center
The newly-opened elevated park gives a view of the 9/11 Memorial Plaza.
Liberty Park, which opened today, sits at the edge of the Memorial Plaza, 25 feet above ground so that visitors can look out on the Memorial Museum, towers and the twin Memorial pools. The park takes up an acre of space, with both shady benches and sunny spaces in which trees and flowers can grow.
