Police Investigating White Powder Sent to Time Inc. Headquarters
The NYPD said a suspicious white powder was found in an envelope at 225 Liberty St., but no one was injured.
FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — The NYPD is still investigating Tuesday after they were called to the Time Inc. building over white powder found in an envelope in the mailroom.
According to police, they responded to 225 Liberty St., across the street from the World Trade Center and National Sept. 11 Memorial and Museum, on Tuesday evening after a person in the mailroom reported finding the white substance.
The NYPD says they immediately contained the one individual exposed to the powder and the NYPD Emergency Services Unit was testing the substance. The person was not showing any signs of illness or injury, police said.

The building, formerly called Two World Financial Center, was closed for six months after Sept. 11 due to damage sustained in the terrorist attacks. It houses Time Inc., but also financial companies BNY Mellon, Commerzbank and Oppenheimer Funds Inc.
