President's Cup 2017: Everything NYC Needs To Know

FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — One of the biggest golfing events of the year is here, and it's just across the Hudson River in Jersey City.

The 2017 President's Cup is being hosted this year at the Liberty National in Jersey City. The annual men's golf tournament is a show down between two teams, one representing the U.S. and one representing the rest of the world (not including Europe). Here's everything you need to know if you're going to the sporting event from NYC.

How should I get there? There are plenty of good public transportation options that can get you from Manhattan to Jersey City. For most people, taking the PATH train from the Oculus World Trade Center station will be the quickest route.

• You can take NJ Transit to the Hoboken terminal, and walk from there (or take the Light Rail) to Newport Mall. From Newport Mall, shuttles will be available to take you to the main entrance at Liberty National Golf Club.
• You can also take the PATH to Newport Mall, where shuttles will take you to the golf club.
• Ferries will also be taking guests to the golf club. There will be ferry service from Manhattan to Port Liberte, which is close by to the golf club. This ferry picks up from World Financial Center Ferry Terminal and Pier 79 at W. 39th Street in Midtown. A round-trip pass can be purchased for $23.

When is it? The tournament officially began on Wednesday, and will run through Sunday, Oct. 1. On Saturday, the third and fourth rounds of competition will begin at 7 a.m. The final round of competition will begin on Sunday at noon.

How much are tickets? Tickets to the grounds range from $50 to $500, depending on how much access and extra benefits you want. You can find out more about ticket pricing here.
