'Scarface' Reunion To Come To Tribeca Film Festival

The Tribeca Film Festival will celebrate the 35th anniversary of 'Scarface' by reuniting the movie's director and its stars.

TRIBECA, NY — The Tribeca Film Festival will bring the Al Pacino classic "Scarface" back to the big screen next month, with a special screening of the film in honor of its 35th anniversary.

The influential movie festival will screen the classic film in April and follow it with a reunion of director Brian De Palma and actors Al Pacino and Michelle Pfeiffer.

The special screening and accompanying conversation with the director and actors are part of the film festival's annual programming, which includes films from new and emerging artists along with retrospectives of classic works.

"As we welcome new filmmakers to the Tribeca community, it is a great time to pause and take a look back at master filmmakers and some of their singular works that have changed filmmaking and influenced popular culture," Tribeca Enterprises executive Paula Weinstein said in a statement. "Our anniversary screenings and our Talks allow a rare behind the scenes look at the creative process – be it director, actor, songwriter – we give our audiences a window into the thoughts and inspiration of the best story tellers working today."

This year's the festival will also include a 25th anniversary screening of "Schindler's List." The New York Times film critic Janet Maslin will moderate a conversation with the film's director Steven Spielberg and actors Liam Neeson, Sir Ben Kingsley and Embeth Davidtz.

Also scheduled to speak during the festival are Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro, Alec Baldwin, Spike Lee, John Legend, Jamie Foxx and Sarah Jessica Parker. You can learn more about the lineup here.

The Tribeca Film Festival will run from April 18 to 29.
