See An Art Trail Of 25 Kaleidoscopes In Lower Manhattan

This weekend is your last chance to see an interactive art trail of kaleidoscopes in Lower Manhattan.

FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — This weekend is your last chance to see an art trail of 25 kaleidoscopes in Lower Manhattan.

Prismatica, a public art installation that's been in place since mid-March, will be in place along Gouverneur Lane leading to Pier 11 through Sunday.

The installation is a collection of interactive prisms standing 7.5 feet tall covered in a dichroic film that reflects rainbow colors. Prismatica has traveled the world — including Baltimore, Montreal, Lugano, Switzerland — brightening up grey concrete corridors with bright colored art.

Earlier this year, Downtown Alliance's president Jessica Lappin said, "This art installation made up of lovely light prisms, should brighten up Water Street during a particularly grey time of year."

Prismatica was created by RAW Design in collaboration with ATOMIC3.

The installation will be in place at public plazas at 75 Wall St., 77 Water St., and 32 Old Slip through Sunday, April 21.
