Smoke From Massive Jersey City Fire Seen From NYC

MANHATTAN, NY — A two-alarm fire in Jersey City may be seen from Manhattan, New York City Emergency Management tweeted.

NBC4 New York reported a fire at a scrap metal facility broke out Thursday afternoon, a reporter tweeted. NBC4 reported an FDNY fire boat could be seen about 5 p.m.

New York City Emergency Management - Notify NYC tweeted that residents in Brooklyn, Manhattan and Staten Island may be able to see or smell smoke.

Smoke could be seen from parts of Brooklyn and the Financial District in Manhattan, photos show.
