Stuyvesant High Schooler With Autism Goes Missing, Police Say
A Stuyvesant High School student with autism went missing Friday morning, an NYPD spokesman said.
LOWER MANHATTAN, NY — A Stuyvesant High School student with autism went missing Friday morning, a New York Police Department spokesman said.
The 21-year-old student walked out of the school on Chambers Street in Lower Manhattan about 8:45 a.m., police said.

The student, Junior Parker of the Bronx, was seen leaving the school southbound on the West Side Highway, the NYPD said.
About 9:15 a.m., he may have been seen at a Target store at 255 Greenwich St. between Park Place and Murray Street, the spokesman said.

The student was last seen wearing a blue denim jacket, blue jeans and black-and-white sneakers, police said. He is described as having a limp when he walks.
Police sources told the New York Post the young man is described as slender and 5 feet 10 inches tall.
Police cars, helicopters and harbor units swarmed the area searching for the him Friday morning, the Post reported.
In 2013, a teenage boy with autism, Avonte Oquendo, went missing from Long Island City's Riverview School. His body was later found on the shoreline in College Point.
