Here's your guide to the Tribeca Film Festival, which runs April 18-29.

TRIBECA, NY — The annual Tribeca Film Festival is coming to the neighborhood in April, bringing some of the most exciting new movies and television to Tribeca before they make their debuts to the general public.
This year, a documentary series executive produced by Jay-Z will be among the most exciting new works to open at the festival. Here's Patch's guide to everything you need to know.
When is it? The festival runs from April 18 to April 29.

Where is the Tribeca Film Festival? The festival hub is located at 50 Varick St.
Do I have to buy tickets to attend? Yes. The cheapest tickets are $12, for matinee screenings at the festival. Evening and weekend screenings will cost you $23, and Tribeca TV or other special screenings cost $30. You can buy tickets, or learn more about tickets to other events and special packages, here.

What are the new films debuting at the festival? The new works premiering at Tribeca form the heart of the festival. The festival will open with a feature-length documentary about the comedian Gilda Radner titled “Love, Gilda.” The festival will close with a documentary about the New York Times titled “The Fourth Estate.” This year, the new films include “Adventure Not War,” which follows three U.S. veterans as they return to Iraq. The centerpiece of the 2018 films is "Zoe," starring Ewan McGregor, Christina Aguilera and Rashida Jones in a futuristic world where technology can simulate love.
Is there any new TV at the Film Festival? Yes. The Tribeca Film Festival also includes a TV lineup. This year, that will include the Season 2 premier of “Westworld.” A documentary series about Trayvon Martin titled “Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story” will have its world premier on April 20 at the festival. The documentary series was executive produced by Jay-Z. The full lineup of television programming is here.
Any other big-ticket events? Some of the most highly anticipated programs at the Film Festival are the anniversary screenings of class films. This year, the festival will reunited the cast and director of “Scarface” to mark the cult classic’s 35th anniversary. The film will be screened on April 19 before a conversation with director Brian De Palma and the stars Al Pacino and Michelle Pfeiffer.
On April 26, the festival is hosting a 25th anniversary screening of “Schindler’s List,” plus a conversation with director Steven Spielberg, and the actors Liam Neeson, Ben Kingsley and Embeth Davidtz. Other actors and filmmakers scheduled to speak during the festival include Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro, Alec Baldwin, Spike Lee, John Legend, Jamie Foxx and Sarah Jessica Parker.
